Our Work

Six programs, built around the two things nobody can go without: something to eat tonight, and somewhere to sleep.

Operation Hope of Fairfield provides individuals and families the opportunity to experience transformative change.

Our programs and services focus on eliminating hunger and homelessness and are designed to help people solve their crises and build stability in an environment in which compassion inspires dignity and hope.

Homeless Resource Center

Since 1986, Operation Hope of Fairfield has been serving men, women and families who struggle with homelessness. In 2019 we launched our new homeless resource center, providing homeless outreach, basic needs and support.

Getting people off the streets and into safe, stable housing is a number one priority.

Community Kitchen

Dedicated members of the community prepare, deliver and serve over 20,000 meals a year, providing lunch and dinner to 40–60 people a day and giving scores of volunteers the opportunity to help our hungry neighbors.

Food Pantry

With the help of dedicated volunteers and a myriad of donations, our food pantry provides over 150,000 meals a year to over 800 people—neighbors struggling to make ends meet.

Affordable Housing Program

Operation Hope of Fairfield currently owns or operates 84 units of safe, affordable housing serving over 100 people for individuals and families in Fairfield and the surrounding communities, to help those who have struggled in the past remain successfully housed.

Housing First Programs

We collaborate on many initiatives to create housing and eliminate homelessness. We are a primary partner in the Bridgeport Housing First and CT Rapid Rehousing programs.

Through efforts like these, we have helped hundreds of people affected by homelessness obtain stable housing and case management services to help them sustain housing. We continue to seek appropriate partnerships that meet the needs of those most at risk.

Clinical Support Team

Our team of case managers are dedicated to helping those we serve meet their challenges successfully through specialized case management, targeted referrals, and other services to help residents achieve self-sufficiency.

With your help, Operation Hope of Fairfield will continue to provide people with the opportunity to experience positive and lasting change.
