Our Mission
Why Operation Hope of Fairfield exists and what we are working towards every day.
Operation Hope of Fairfield provides individuals and families the opportunity to experience transformative change.
Our programs and services focus on eliminating hunger and homelessness, and are designed to help people solve their crises and build stability in an environment where compassion inspires dignity and hope.
In practice that means a hot meal served without a form to fill out, a pantry shelf stocked by neighbors, a caseworker who keeps your number, and a place to live with the support that helps you stay in it.

We envision a time when every person in our community has supportive relationships, hope for the future, and a place to call home.
Forty years of giving Hope
Operation Hope of Fairfield was formed in 1985, when local residents became aware of people in the community unable to meet their own basic needs of food and shelter. Clergy and lay leaders worked together to provide food and emergency shelter. The programs have changed a great deal since. The reason for them has not.
