Ryan McClane, a 7th grader at Fairfield Woods Middle School, recently read Stephen Covey’s “7 Habits of Highly Effective People” in health class. As part of the class and to encourage communication, organization, and self-management skills, the students have to initiate, plan, and carry out a community service project of their choosing. Ryan decided to organize a food drive to help fill the pantry shelves at Operation Hope. He collected donations through school, which he then recently delivered to Operation Hope. We are grateful to students like Rya for taking the initiative to care for and feed our neighbors in need. Thank you, Ryan, and also to your school community for supporting you in this endeavor!
