It’s almost summer and gardens all around are starting to produce results! Fairfield Ludlowe student Harper Treschuk has been busy preparing the Operation Hope Community Garden, located on the First Church Congregational property, for what is hopefully a bountiful season. The first plants to be harvested are lettuces! Harper delivered these to our food pantry, where our neighbors in need will be able to enjoy the fresh produce. We are truly grateful not just for the opportunity to offer fresh produce in our pantry but that this is a wonderful way for our young volunteers to connect and give back to the community in a meaningful way. Thank you for your green thumb and big heart, Harper!
