As the historic government shutdown moves into its fifth week, with no end in sight, and a severe winter storm approaches the area, Operation Hope is working to ensure that federal employees and contractors can access resources and get food while they aren’t getting paid. We encourage all federal employees and contractors who need some help to come to our volunteer-run Food Pantry. Simply show your federal ID and we’ll help you get what you need.
Our Food Pantry stocks diapers and pet food, in addition to fresh produce, refrigerated and frozen items, shelf stable foods and personal care items. The Pantry is located at 636 Old Post Road, Fairfield, and hours of operation are Monday, Wednesday & Friday, 10am-12pm and Thursday, 4pm-6pm. Please note the Pantry is closed January 21 in honor of MLK Day.
