Since 1990, ordinary young people have been joined by schools, churches, local businesses, community partners and NFL teams across the country to generate over $150 million in food and funds to help support soup kitchens, food banks and other hunger-relief organizations in their local communities.
This year is the 30th anniversary of the Souper Bowl of Caring, and once again, Assumption Church has generously made us one of its beneficiaries. Stop by Assumption Church (545 Stratfield Road, Fairfield) and drop off non-perishable donations:
-Saturday, February 1, 3-5pm
-Sunday, February 2, 8am-1pm
Non-perishables needed: shelf-stable milk, pancake syrup, jelly, honey, adult diapers, Jello, pudding, canned stew & chili, baking mixes, condiments, flour, sugar, oil, canned dog & cat food, canned fruit, ramen, ground coffee, hot cocoa mix.
Thank you to Assumption Church, its parish, all volunteers and donors!
