Here at Operation Hope, we are deeply thankful for YOU and for being part of such a generous, giving and loving community. For almost forty years, you have embraced us and supported our efforts to end hunger and end homelessness right here at home. You have been here for us during some of the darkest times.
From the child who empties her piggy bank for us, to the many schools and organizations who host drives on our behalf, to the families, organizations and restaurants who make meals to feed our guests in the Community Kitchen to the individuals, organizations and companies who give us monetary and in kind donations of any amount, to those who advocate on our behalf, to everyone else in between, and then some, we are deeply thankful. To our staff, Board, volunteers and loyal donors, thank you for keeping those most in need in your heart today and every day.
While Thanksgiving is a time for families and friends to gather and celebrate the bounty of the season, for many here at home, the holiday is a stark reminder of their struggle with hunger and homelessness. Thank you for sharing your bounty, which helps us provide food, housing and services for our neighbors right here in Fairfield, and not just on Thanksgiving, but throughout the year.
