Observed each year on the third Monday in January as “a day on, not a day off,” MLK Day is the only federal holiday designated as a national day of service to encourage all Americans to volunteer to improve their communities. Here are 3 easy ways to help our neighbors in need at any time while honoring Dr. King’s legacy:
– Bring in donations for our Food Pantry, M-F, 9am-5pm, 636 Old Post Rd (closed MLK Day, January 16). Pantry wish list is at https://operationhopect.org/help-stock-shelves/.
– Purchase pantry donations from our Amazon wish list at https://bit.ly/oh-amzn-charity-list and have them sent directly to us.
– Donate to our Winter Appeal at https://bit.ly/oh-donate-now, which supports our Food Pantry, affordable housing program and services (any amount appreciated).
Thank you 🙏🏽❤️🙏🏽 Please note our business office and Food Pantry are closed today, January 16. Office hours resume Tuesday, January 17 and pantry hours resume Wednesday, January 18.
