As 2025 comes to a close, I wanted to take a moment to reflect on the resilience, support and generosity of our community, and how you continue to sustain Operation Hope of Fairfield’s ability to keep helping our neighbors in need. Thank you for placing your faith in us and for sharing our vision and hope that no one should go hungry and that everyone deserves a safe place to live.

Thank You for Making the Holidays Merry & Bright for our Clients

We are incredibly grateful to these organizations and churches for making the holidays merry and bright for our neighbors in need! Thank you to NCL (National Charity League) Redding Area Chapter, SASO (Scholars & Athletes Serving Others) Boys, SASO (Scholars & Athletes Serving Others) Girls, and local resident Karen Carelli & her group of volunteers for donating stockings filled to the brim with toys, activities, basic necessities and treats. To Our Lady of Assumption Church and St. Pius X Parish for making us the beneficiary of your generous Giving Trees, providing gifts and necessities for our clients. Thank you to Fairfield Garden Club and Greenfield Hill Garden Club for gifting beautiful wreaths and baskets of festive flowers and greenery to adorn our office and Community Kitchen, bringing holiday cheer to all of our visitors.

Fairfield Girl Scout Troops & Volunteers Donate 185 Dozen Cookies for Client Holiday Baskets

Fairfield Girl Scout Troop 30176 hosted its 9th Annual Cookie Platter Project for Operation Hope, making 185 cookie boxes of a dozen cookies each – that’s 2,220 cookies, if you’re counting! The troop solicited the help of other Girl Scout troops and local volunteers to provide treats. Hershey kisses and mini candy canes were also included in the treat boxes that will be gifted to our clients along with their December holiday meal baskets. The Scouts assembled the boxes at First Church Congregational and delivered them next door to us earlier this week. Thanks so much to all Fairfield Girl Scout troops and the many generous volunteers around town who provided cookies and treats, making the holidays sweet this season for our neighbors in need!
