🏈 Whether you’re Team Seahawks or Team Patriots, we can all agree that we need to tackle hunger for those most vulnerable in our community. And regardless of which team won the Big Game, our neighbors in need are the winners, thanks to your generous and gracious donations to help fill our pantry shelves 🥫🫶🏽

🌟The team of incredible volunteers from Assumption Parish and SASO Girls braved this past weekend’s arctic weather 🥶to hold the Parish’s annual Souper Bowl of Caring Food Drive. The volunteers collected donations for local pantries, including Operation Hope🥫
Many thanks to our weekend warriors! 🙏🏽These volunteers did their best to keep warm and smiles bright as they welcomed, sorted and loaded donations. Saturday team – Karen Hoffman and her daughter Laurel, Reini Knorr, Dina Sullivan and Donan Meyer; Sunday team – Reini Knorr, Lara Stratton, Bob Kozeracki and Donan Meyer. Lauren Caiati and her daughter Sophia transported the donations to Operation Hope on Sunday once the drive concluded. The drive also raised $200 in cash donations for Operation Hope 🙌🏽

We are deeply grateful to Assumption Church for hosting the drive once again this year, to Reini Knorr and Lara Stratton for organizing the drive, to all donors and to all volunteers for helping feed our neighbors in need during this winter season 🥫🙏🏽🥫
