Held last Saturday, the National Association of Letter Carriers’ annual “Stamp Out Hunger” food drive is the largest, nationally-held food drive, and locally, we were honored to once again be the recipient of the donations. With the support of dozens of Fairfield and Southport letter carriers who volunteered to pick up donations at residents’ mailboxes, volunteers and countless donors, we collected and sorted 15,699 lbs (or 7.8 tons!) of non-perishables to help stock our Food Pantry.

Many thanks to the volunteers from these groups:

    • Boy Scout Troop 199
    • Fairfield Prep students
    • SASO Mothers & Sons
    • SASO Mothers & Daughters
    • National Charity League of Fairfield
    • First Church Congregational volunteers
    • St. Anthony’s Parish volunteers
    • US Postal employees and their families
    • Ludlowe High School students
    • Warde High School students
    • US Coast Guard volunteers
    • Friends and Food Pantry volunteers
    • Operation Hope Board Members

Thank you for all you did to help feed and care for our neighbors in need!
