This week’s Traveling Pet Food Pantry was the first of a series of distributions set to take place at Operation Hope in Fairfield. The turnout was great, we had 22 families and 44 pets. We distributed 149.2 lb dry cat food, 838 cans of wet cat food, 363.8 lb dry dog food, and 176 cans of wet cat food. The food is provided at no charge to community members in need of support so that pets in homes can stay with the families that they already love so much. All of the pet food provided has come to the Connecticut Humane Society by way of generous donations. We are grateful for the CHS’s support of our neighbors in need, especially our four-legged friends!
The next Pet Pantry is June 8, 12:30-2:30pm at Operation Hope. Appointments are required, please call 860-594-4500 x6308 to schedule your appointment.
