Thanks once again to high school student Rachel Brooks from Securing Safe Food for donating dairy-free, egg-free, gluten-free and nut-free cookies and dairy and egg free pretzels to our Food Pantry! People’s dietary needs are vast so we appreciate being able to offer allergy-friendly and gluten-free options to our neighbors in need when possible.

Founded in March by Rachel, the allergy awareness initiative Securing Safe Food works to provide allergy-friendly and gluten free options to food pantries across the nation by collaborating with allergy-friendly US manufacturers and brands. Securing Safe Food supplies dairy, egg, nut and gluten-free nonperishables and refrigerated/frozen goods to over 20 pantries in CT, CA, NJ, MA, and NY and has donated over 7,500 food items to these pantries to date.
