Last Saturday’s NBC New York, Telemundo 47, WNJU and Stop & Shop large-scale food drive to support regional food banks during their campaign “Feeding Our Families”/ “Alimentando a Nuestras Familias” was a great success. We collected over 70 boxes of food and just over $1,200 in donations! Thank you to the 1160 Kings Hwy Cutoff Stop & Shop management & staff, Connecticut Foodshare, NBC & Telemundo, as well as SASO Boys, SASO Girls Fairfield, City Coast Church, Storm and the Bridgeport Islanders and all the wonderful individual volunteers. And a huge thank you to everyone who shopped and donated! We are grateful for your help to fill our shelves for the early summer months!
