SUMMARY:Refill the Pantry Food Drive at Kings Highway Stop & Shop
DESCRIPTION:The Refill the Pantry program will host a community-wide food drive on Saturday\, October 10\, to benefit Operation Hope’s Food Pantry. From 9am-5pm\, volunteers will be stationed outside Stop & Shop at 1160 Kings Highway Cutoff\, Fairfield to collect non-perishable food donations. The effort will bring together volunteers from local church communities. Grab a list from the volunteers on site to aid in your shopping. Thank you to all donors\, volunteers\, Stop & Shop\, Thrivent and Refill the Pantry!  \nAt the May 16 drive\, the group collected an impressive 2\,600 lbs of groceries and also raised $1\,050\, providing vital support for families facing food insecurity in our community.  \nRefill the Pantry’s efforts to restock the pantry shelves of nine Fairfield County towns continues to grow year over year. In 2025\, over 32\,000 pounds (16 tons) of food were gathered and $16\,000 – a 40% increase over the 2024 collection. Operation Hope is deeply grateful to be included in this outreach effort.
