The High Holy Days - primarily Rosh Hashanah (the Jewish New Year) and Yom Kippur (the Day of Atonement) - mark a ten-day period of deep introspection, spiritual renewal, and self-examination known as the Days of Awe (Yamim Noraim). Central to this period is the theme of giving back, rooted in the foundational Jewish values of personal responsibility and community care. One of the ways Congregation B'nai Israel demonstrated this was by filling a truck full of pantry donations for our neighbors in need. We are grateful for their helping hands and big hearts. Â
