Our Annual Town-Wide Tag Sale just took place on Saturday, August 12. It was a beautiful day for selling treasures to help raise funds for Operation Hope! We’d like to extend our deepest thanks to our Tag Sale Chair Trudi Durrell, our Tag Sale hosts, Board members, volunteers and staff for joining forces to make it happen. The Tag Sale helps sustain our neighbors in need and our operations throughout the year.
22 Tag Sales were scattered around Fairfield and Southport, featuring toys, clothing, books, art, furniture, housewares, exercise equipment, vintage and more. It was a great opportunity to reduce, recycle and reuse – for a good cause. Thank you to our hosts for graciously opening their homes and hearts to help our neighbors in need. There was even a few Girl Scouts who hosted a lemonade stand, raising $41 for Operation Hope! We love our littlest volunteers and when the whole family is involved in helping our friends in need.
Thank you to our shoppers from all over! It was fun seeing you discover treasures at the different sales.
Our most heartfelt appreciation goes to our Tag Sale Chair and longtime Operation Hope volunteer and supporter, Trudi Durrell. Nothing succeeds naturally without someone working on it, and under Trudi’s leadership, every detail was attended to impeccably. We are grateful for Trudi’s commitment, time and talent to run the Tag Sale.
Thanks to Lori Scala and Trinity Solar for their continued community partnership (click here to discover how you can save money AND raise money with Trinity Solar). Thanks to Paul Ruscito of Ruscito Resolutions for offering Tag Sale hosts discounted dump runs to help clear any clutter left after the sale. If you have any odd jobs, dump runs, etc., Paul’s your guy! Call/text him at 203-767-1582.
We wish you a happy rest of your summer!
