Dylan Kohler, Reece Morgan and Jayden Wang, 7th graders at Fairfield Woods Middle School, recently read Stephen Covey’s “7 Habits of Highly Effective People” in health class. As part of the curriculum and to encourage communication, organization, and self-management skills, the students have to initiate, plan, and carry out a community service project of their choosing. The students decided to band together to organize a food drive to help fill the pantry shelves at Operation Hope. Many hands make light work! The group collected donations through school, which they recently delivered to Operation Hope during a food drive hosted by the Fairfield Equity Coalition on a frigid January day. We are grateful to Dylan, Reece and Jayden for taking the initiative to care for and feed our neighbors in need. And a big thank you to the Woods school community for supporting your efforts!
